So we travelled to Fernie through cloudy, cold weather all the way until we turned the corner at the Crowsnest Pass and there was the thing Alberta has been looking for for the past month.
SPRING!!!
The sky was blue, the sun was shining and there was virtually no snow.
When we stepped out of the truck, the warm breeze was a welcome respite from the biting cold winds back home.
We went for a walk, just soaking in the sunshine and feeling the soft, spring air. Obviously, spring is a rather new phenomonen here in Fernie as well as the playgrounds were crowded with kids, people crowded the downtown with bikes and strollers. Layers of clothing were piled in the Baby Stroller as we found our comfort level in the spring air.
It is coming Alberta, it is a mere 45 minutes away - if we can, we will pack it up with us on Monday and bring it back!
If we could just figure out how to Move Mountains!
